Advocacy Library

CSCS has a broad vision as it relates to advocacy. Beyond tactics, its advocacy is committed to the big picture of ensuring long term care services in the neighborhood for seniors and their family caregivers that will allow seniors to remain in the community. Fundamental to CSCS's advocacy strategy is an understanding of the political, budgetary and economic climate of city and state governments.

CSCS represents seniors and the aging services network when policy decisions are being made and coordinates and mobilizes action when those decisions impact older citizens.

Action Alerts

are sent to members when an issue related to seniors needs their attention. An Action Alert gives background on the issue and specific steps agencies and the seniors they serve should take to make their voices heard.

includes stories fun by local media reporting on current issues that CSCS is working on.
