Abby Stokes, author of IS THIS THING ON? A Computer Handbook for Late Bloomers, Technophobes, and the Kicking and Screaming, is writing an on-line column for CSCS entitled "Abby's Basic Computing for Seniors." The column includes excerpts from Abby's book as well as reviews of various digital devices in relation to their "senior friendliness." Abby is a passionate advocate for seniors with a talent for making computers and other new technologies easy for anyone to understand and use.

Seniors Protest Cuts in Technology Funding

Vernice Jarvis, 72, stood on the steps of City Hall wearing a leopard print dress and a cloth bone in her hair. She held a club and a sign that read, "Technology Good!"
