By supporting these COVID-19 Emergency Response activities, your donation will help older New Yorkers survive this emergency and thrive! 

LiveOn NY is partnering with a wide coalition of agencies and individuals to respond to the COVID-19 emergency.  Please support our efforts to provide nourishing meals and other vital services for older adults amidst this crisis.  Here are some of thing we’re working on:

  • Delivering over 200,000 meals to homebound seniors, in collaboration with our partners. 

  • Coordinating the purchase of over 50,000 containers for home delivered meals and “grab & go” meals at senior centers.

  • Providing Benefits Screenings and Application Assistance to more Older New Yorkers and their Families by Increasing our capacity to screening and assist with applications for SNAP. Medicare Savings Program, Low Income Subsidy, Home Energy Assistance Program( HEAP),NY “Rent Freeze” Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE/DRIE) and School Tax Relief (STAR)  To contact us call 212-398-5045 or email us at benefits@liveon-ny.org.

Your donation will help us support our member organizations, essential workers, who are on the front lines serving older New Yorkers during this COVID-19 Pandemic!

  • Hosting “Boots on the Ground” Work Group Call  a weekly interactive call where we share information, insights and resources to aid the essential workers during the COVID -19 Pandemic.

  • Hosting a Bi Weekly “Action Committee Call” to discuss new information and  provide support to our member organizations during this critical time as they continue work helping Older New Yorkers during COVID 19 pandemic.

  • COVID -19 Resource Guide” created an online and in real time resource guide that provides reliable, potentially life-saving COVID-19 related information for older adults, nonprofit service providers, and the general public.   Click here to take a look at the guide https://www.liveon-ny.org/covid-19

  • Providing transportation for Essential Workers- Collaborating with LYFT to provide free rideshare services

  • Providing extensive One on One technical assistance to member organizations during this crisis.

  • Continuing to have ongoing conversations with local and state government officials to advocate for our member organizations and the “essential work” they are doing  daily to help Older Adults across the state.
